Shhh. Don't tell my mom, (she gets updates directly from me so likely won't see this page on my site), but I'm painting the wolf again standing in the stream. She fell in love with it and was so upset when it sold in 3 days at the gallery. I had no idea how much she loved it until it was sold. So this will be a fun surprise at Christmas!

UPDATE!

She was thrilled to pieces and absolutely loved the painting. I couldn't be happier.  Her work place joined in on the fun and helped me present the painting to her. It was a very memorable moment!

Oil on panel 11x14. Haven't thought of a name yet.

The background will be lush greenery. The foregound a rocky terrain with grass trying to overtake the area. The female wolf will be more obviously pregnant with her mate standing over her shading her from the morning sun.

I know it doesn't look like much yet, but keep watching!

And for my Christmas, my family treated me with soft pastels!

This piece is my first foray into pastels on mat board. 9x12 inches. Though I've finished the piece, I thought it would be fun to show the process for you here.

You will be seeing more pastel pieces soon from me! I'm in love with this stuff now!
